Water Ski Canada is pleased to recognize Enzo Kristian and Hannah Stopnicki as the 2025 recipients of the Manoo & Jean Gurjar Scholarship.
The Manoo & Jean Gurjar Legacy Fund was established in 2011 through a generous legacy donation from Dr. Manoo Gurjar and Jean Gurjar of Vancouver, British Columbia. The fund was created to provide ongoing support to Canadian water skiers who demonstrate a strong commitment to both their athletic development and their education, while also contributing positively to the water ski community.
The scholarship honours the values long represented by Manoo and Jean Gurjar, including a genuine love for the sport, good sportsmanship, friendliness within the water ski community, and a willingness to give back. Recipients are also recognized for their dedication to academic pursuits and their commitment to continued training and improvement in the sport.
Enzo Kristian and Hannah Stopnicki were selected based on how they exemplify these ideals through their involvement in water skiing, their approach to competition, and their focus on balancing sport with education. Both athletes demonstrate the potential and drive to continue developing as competitors while pursuing their academic goals.
Water Ski Canada thanks Manoo and Jean Gurjar for their continued generosity and lasting impact on Canadian water skiing. Their legacy continues to support and inspire young athletes across the country as they work toward their goals both on and off the water.
