ALBERTA’S STEPHEN NEVEU WINS FIRST EVER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MEDAL

Water Ski Canada proudly celebrates Alberta’s very own Stephen Neveu as he secures his first-ever World Championship medal with a bronze in Men Slalom at the prestigious 2023 IWWF World Waterski Championships held at Sunset Lakes, Groveland, FL.

In the face of challenging conditions, Stephen demonstrated exceptional skill, finesse, and determination during today’s finals. His outstanding performance saw him achieve a score of 3@10.25m/41off, a testament to his dedication and commitment to the sport.

The 2023 IWWF World Waterski Championships, which took place from October 10-15, is an esteemed event attracting over 200 of the world’s best water skiers. 

Stephen Neveu’s win is not just an individual triumph but also a proud moment for the entire Canadian water skiing community. As the season concludes, his victory leaves a mark, setting the tone for the upcoming athletes and adding another chapter to the history of Canadian water skiing.
