Williams Lake’s Lucas Pinette wins bronze at the Jr. Masters Water Ski Tournament.

Today at the Jr. Masters in Pine Mountain, GA, Lucas competed in the Jr. Men’s Jump event. In the semi-finals Lucas jumped 48.9m/160ft. This was enough to punch his ticket into the finals.

In the finals, Lucas improved on his semi-final mark by three metres with a jump of 51.9m/170ft, which earned him a 3rd place finish in the Jr. Men’s Jump at the 2023 Jr. Masters.

Lucas took to the water earlier in the day for the Jr. Masters Men’s Trick event. He scored 6220 points which put him in 6th place.

Lucas was injured at the U17 World Championships in Santiago, Chile earlier this year. He has worked hard to come back from his injury. He qualified for the Jr. Masters in Jump and Trick and placed on the podium at the Jr. Masters in Jump. During the qualifiers Lucas achieved personal bests in all three events; Slalom, Trick and Jump. His season is off to a great start.

The Jr. Masters brings together the best junior water skiers from around the world. The Masters is considered one of the most prestigious water sports events in the world. Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens is the venue for the Masters. Held each year on Memorial Day weekend, the lake was built specifically for the Masters competition.
