OTTAWA, ON – Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada is pleased to announce its teams for 2016 Can Am Challenge and the FISU University World Water Ski Championships. Canada will send a group of twelve skiers to the invitational Can Am Challenge taking place at Shalom Park in Edmonton from August 19-21; and six skiers to the FISU Championships taking place in Akita, Japan from September 8 – 11, 2016; both team to be led by Cole Grant.
“I am excited for these two teams” says National Team Head Coach Steve Bush. “The Can Am Challenge is an important opportunity for our development level athletes to get a taste for international competition and develop our next generation of high performance skiers. The FISU team is strong and well positioned to turn out a strong showing; I look forward to seeing how they perform!”
