Canadians dominate the podium at the 2018 26th Junior Masters, presented by GM Marine Engine Technology.  The Masters, held at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia is among the most prestigious events on the Water Ski and Wakeboarding calendars. Day one at the Masters put the Junior athletes at the forefront with the elite group to take centre stage on the weekend.  

Nautique team athlete Paige Rini (ON) absolutely dominated. Paige won in both the Junior Women’s Trick and Slalom disciplines. Paige scored a 8,020 behind the all-new Ski Nautique to win the Trick portion of the event, then turned around and got 2 @ 38-off to take the Slalom win. She also made the cut in Jump placing third. When it was all said and done, Paige Rini taking the overall Junior Women Masters title after feeling extremely comfortable behind the all-new Ski Nautique.  Paige had an incredible day of skiing to earn the victory. “I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl and I love the Masters. Winning Slalom, Trick and Overall on Robin lake is the most incredible finish to my Junior ski career.” 


Jamie Calhoun (ON) finished third in Junior Men’s Slalom at his first ever Masters. Jamie ran 1.5@39 to make it to the finals with a final score of 3.00 @ 38 Off  – Congrats Jamie!

Neilly Ross (ON) finished in second place for Jr Women’s Slalom. Skiing 1.00 @ 38 Off in the elimination round and completing the course with 0.50 @ 38 Off.

An invitation to compete in the Masters is universally considered an honour and an acknowledgement of achievement for reaching the pinnacle in a given watersports discipline – only the world’s most elite athletes compete at the Masters! This tournament is IWWF/USA Water Ski and WWA sanctioned.
