CANADIANS DOMINATE AT THE 2018 WORLD WAKE SURF CHAMPIONSHIPS

OGDEN, UT (September 9, 2018) – Centurion hosted the final day of the 23rd World Wake Surf Championship presented by GM Marine at Cemetery Point Beach on Pineview Reservoir in Ogden, Utah.

Seventeen new World Champions and thirty-eight personal bests were pulled behind the 2019 Centurion Ri257 and Ri237 Salute to Service Limited Edition boats this weekend. This prestigious event ran from September 6th through the 8th and had a live webcast covering the competition.

Crowds were lined up on shore and in nearby boats to watch the best of the best wake surfers in the world. Juniors, masters, amateur, outlaw and professional brought their best run to Saturday’s finals.

The following Centurion riders received these awards: Keenan Flegel received 2nd place and Jake Breedlove received 3rd in the Pro Men’s Surf division. Jake Caster Placed 2nd and Keenan Flegel placed 3rd in the Pro Men’s Skim event. Ashley Kidd placed 2nd in the Pro Women’s Surf division. Caro Villeneuve placed 2nd in the Pro Women’s Skim event. Shawn Breedlove placed 3rd in the Master’s Men Surf division. Evan Hudson was crowned 1st place in the Juniors division. Taylor Swanson placed 1st and Camron Swanson placed 2nd in the Outlaw Men’s Skim.

Wrapping up the weekend, athletes and fans had the opportunity to be recognized from their accomplishments at Timberline Steak House on Saturday night. Everyone was encouraged to wear western theme outfits to the awards ceremony. Awards included, Sew Long’s custom, platform covers, Blu Surf boards, Intel pillows, coolers, prize money and trophies.
