Water Ski Canada is excited to announce that Carly Bonham, one of the local athletes from Calgary, Alberta, will compete in the Slalom event at the 2025 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships. The event will take place from July 31 to August 3, 2025, at the Predator Bay Water Ski Club at Lakes of Kastynstone in Calgary, Alberta.
Carly has been competing for 7 years and is a member of the Junior National Water Ski Team. She was also honored as the recipient of the Art Smith Endowment. Carly’s favourite water ski memory is spending 5 months training at the Jack Travers Waterski School in Florida, where she got to spend time with friends and progress in the sport.
Carly’s passion for water skiing began at a young age, thanks to her father, who introduced her to the sport.
At the 2025 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships, Carly is particularly excited to compete at her home site in front of her family and friends. It’s an experience that makes this competition extra special for her.
A total of 12 Canadians will compete at the 2025 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships, and Carly will be among them, representing Canada in the Slalom event. The competition promises to deliver thrilling performances and unforgettable moments.
