FIVE CANADIANS ARE SET TO COMPETE AT THE 2023 IWWF WORLD OPEN, U23 AND JR BAREFOOT WATER SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS IN AUSTRALIA

Five Canadians are set to compete at the 2023 IWWF World Open, Under 23 & Junior Barefoot Waterski Championships in Mulwala, Australia from February 15-19, 2023. Two Canadians will be in attendance as judges at the event.

Two sets of brothers will be competing alongside each other at the World Championships. Sickinger brothers from Muskoka, ON and Midena brothers from Mississauga, ON will be competing alongside each other and against each other in the Junior Boys division at the World Championships.

Gordie Croteau from Windsor, ON is the 5th Canadian competitor, rounding out an all Ontario Team going to the World Barefoot Championships.

Open Team:

Gordie Croteau (Windsor, ON), competing in Open Men Tricks and Jump.

Junior Team:

Simon Sickinger (Muskoka, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks.

Alex Sickinger (Muskoka, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks.

Alex Midena (Mississauga, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks.

Vincent Midena (Mississauga, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks.

The semi-finals will take place Wednesday, February 15 – Friday, February 17, 2023 and finals will take place Saturday, February 18 – Sunday, February 19, 2023.
