Water Ski Canada is excited to announce that Hannah Stopnicki, from Montreal, Quebec, will compete for Team Canada at the 2025 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships. The event will take place from July 31 to August 3, 2025, at the Predator Bay Water Ski Club at Lakes of Kastynstone in Calgary, Alberta, where over 100 athletes from 20+ countries will showcase their skills.
Hannah, a dedicated athlete with 10 years of experience, will compete in both Slalom and Trick events. Her impressive accomplishments include being a Junior World Champion, a 2x Jr. Masters Champion, a 2x U17 Pan American Champion, and a 5x Canadian National Champion.
Hannah’s journey in water skiing began at age 2, when her father taught her to ski on the large lake behind their country house north of Montreal. She skied for fun until her first tournament at age 9, and since then, her love for both training and competition has grown. Hannah now trains year-round at Matt Rini’s Water Ski School in Orlando, FL.
A total of 12 Canadians will compete at the 2025 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships, and Hannah is part of the 6-person team competing for the Team Overall title. Her performances in Slalom and Trick will contribute to the team’s goal of securing the Team Title.
The 2025 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships promises high-speed action and incredible athleticism as the next generation of water skiing talent takes center stage. With Hannah representing Team Canada, the competition is sure to be an unforgettable experience for fans and athletes alike.
