New: Hydrofoil activities are now included in the general liability policy—no additional purchase required.
Coaching: ALL Schools must have a certified coach on site at all times during activities. Schools are responsible for ensuring that all coach information is current and that coaches meet the requirements outlined below.
*Failure to meet these requirements may result in coaches being deemed non-compliant and not covered under WSWC insurance.
Coach Eligibility and Requirements: To be recognized as a WSWC coach, all coaches—regardless of context—must have:
1. Certified NCCP Coach (minimum Foundations trained)
2. NCCP Safe Sport eModule
3. NCCP Making Headway in Sport (Concussion Training)
4. NCCP Making Ethical Decisions – Online Evaluation
5. Valid First Aid Certification
6. Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
7. Valid WSWC Membership
IMPORTANT: Coaches who do not meet the above requirements:
Will not be considered compliant
Are not be covered under WSWC liability insurance
The Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada “WSWC” school liability insurance program has been designed to fit the needs of Canadian towed watersports schools. Basic coverage is for a 5M policy. Additional optional coverage is available for an additional cost. Please see price list below.
What is defined as a school: a school is defined as an operation whose participants do not necessarily become members of their respective provincial water ski and wakeboard association.

Marketing and promoting a business is essential in today’s marketplace. Your club will receive the following promotional benefits: Complimentary School listing on WSWC.ca. Referrals, when inquiries are received for towed watersports locales in your area; Ability to use the following phraseology and the WSWC logo to promote your operation, “MemberTowed Water Sports School of Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada”.

Delivering innovative programs and activities to your customers is what your school is all about.WSWC has a variety of “ready to use” programs that can add value to your school’s operations.

PROCESSING OF APPLICATION:
| – Applications will not be processed until all required documentation is submitted and payment is paid in full. We accept online payments through PayPal or INTERACT ETRANSFER |
| – Applications will be processed in approximately 6 business days. “Rush” orders (less than 6 days) can be accommodated, for an additional $110 (+ Service Fee & Provincial Insurance Tax) |
| – All approved insurance applications will receive a certificate of insurance with the confirmation package. Due to nature of the program, fees may not be pro-rated and are non-refundable |
COVERAGE
| – Coverage is for the 12-month period, beginning on the latter of April 1, or enrollment acceptance date through to March 31. |
| – Coverage for winch/start pool is available. Please email the office for more information. |

NOTE: Coverage for non-sanctioned activities that are not covered under WSWC’s policy may be insurable by underwriters by separate, additional policy and premium. Utilizing the same underwriter for possible multiple policies would help ensure that there are no gaps or disputes between underwriters as to which policy will respond if a claim arises.
STEP 1 : INSURANCE COVERAGE
STANDARD COVERAGE & PROGRAM DETAILS
What is defined as a school: a school is defined as an operation whose participants do not necessarily become members of their respective provincial water ski and wakeboard association.
Schools have the flexibility of selecting coverage that best suits their needs, with or without optional coverage. School’s fees are based upon the size of the school’s operation and the number of projected pulls
Definition of a pull: A pull is defined as a 10 to 20-minute session (. For example, if an individual goes out three times in one day, that would be recorded as three (3) pulls, i.e.: an individual participates in a 2-round slalom tournament, that would count as 2 pulls per skier; a multiple person water toy such as a banana boat that tows 4 participants at a time is counted as 4 pulls.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
- The school must be a member school of its respective provincial water ski & wakeboard association.
- The owner(s), instructors and boat drivers of the school must be individual members of WSWC, as registered via their respective provincial water ski/wakeboard association.
- Boat drivers must have a valid PCOC card and proof of boat insurance must be provided.
- Each individual who will be an instructor at the school must be a coach within the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). Contact your Provincial Organization for the clinic dates. For more information about WSWC’s coaching program, CLICK HERE

Applications will be processed in approximately 6 business days “Rush” orders (less than 6 business days) can be accommodated, for an additional $110.00
Winch & Start Pools – Optional Coverage $715.00
Coverage for winch pulled towed water sport activities, or activities that involve a ‘start pool’ can be covered within Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada’s (WSWC) insurance program, but only by special application and payment of an additional fee. Decision on whether to accept the application and offer the coverage is based upon safety considerations, and is at the sole discretion of WSWC. The premium for adding winch coverage extends to a total of four (4) separate winch activities. An additional premium will apply for each activity beyond.

Boat Insurance
The Coverage under the school insurance program is limited to general liability. It does not include, property insurance (i.e. boat equipment, ramps, docks), life insurance, boat insurance or accident insurance.
