NATIONAL TEAM ATHLETES COMPETE SET TO COMPETE IN WWS CALGARY CUP AND MASTERCRAFT SLALOM SHOOTOUT

Water Ski Canada is delighted to announce that 13 of our National Team Members and Jr. National Team Members are slated to compete on home soil at the highly anticipated Calgary Cup Overall Tour and the MasterCraft Slalom Shootout. These exciting events will take place from August 4 to 6, 2023, at the prestigious Predator Bay Ski Club on the Lakes at Kastyn Stone.

The Calgary Cup marks the 3rd stop on the 2023 World Water Skiers (WWS) Overall Tour, an internationally recognized tour that attracts the best overall water skiers from around the globe. Canada’s top skiers are set to showcase their skills, determination, and sportsmanship against a formidable international competition.

Adding to the spectacle, the MasterCraft Slalom Shootout, a highlight on the Waterski Pro Tour, will be taking place concurrently. Known for drawing the world’s best slalom skiers, this event promises to be a thrilling display of exceptional talent and competitive spirit.

The Predator Bay Ski Club, a world-renowned venue known for its excellent facilities and serene setting, will provide the perfect backdrop for these competitions. Spectators can expect thrilling performances from world-class athletes in a scenic and relaxed environment.

Representing Canada in this highly competitive tournament are a mix of our National and Jr. National Team members, hailing from across the country:

Competing in the MasterCraft Slalom Shootout, we have:

  • Stephen Neveu, a National Team Member from Alberta.
  • Cole McCormick, a National Team Member from Ontario.
  • Whitney McClintock Rini, a National Team Member from Ontario.
  • Paige Rini, a National Team Member from Ontario, who will also be competing in the WWS Calgary Cup.
  • Evan Kraus, a Jr. National Team Member from Alberta, who will also be competing in the WWS Calgary Cup.
  • Sean Kraus, a Jr. National Team Member from Alberta.

Competing in the WWS Calgary Cup, we have:

  • Paige Rini, a National Team Member from Ontario.
  • Conley Pinette, a National Team Member from British Columbia.
  • Carter Lucas, a Jr. National Team Member from Saskatchewan.
  • Jacob Chambers, a Jr. National Team Member from British Columbia.
  • Lucas Pinette, a Jr. National Team Member from British Columbia.
  • Megan Pelkey, a Jr. National Team Member from Alberta.
  • Carly Bonham, a Jr. National Team Member from Alberta.
  • Kate Pinsonneault, a Jr. National Team Member from British Columbia.
