Water Ski Canada is excited to announce that Neilly Ross, from Winter Garden, FL, who trains in Muskoka, ON during the summer months, podiumed in Pro Women’s Slalom today at the 65th Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament at Robin Lake, Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, GA. Neilly was also the only Women’s athlete to make it into two finals – Pro Women’s Slalom and Pro Women’s Trick.
In Pro Women’s Trick, Neilly finished 4th after a semifinal score of 9270 points, securing her spot in the finals. In the finals, she scored 8600 points, earning 4th place.
In Pro Women’s Slalom, Neilly placed 3rd, marking a back-to-back podium finish in this event, after placing 2nd last year. In the Semifinals, Neilly ran 5.5@11.25m/38off to secure her spot in the finals. In today’s finals, she ran 5@11.25m/38off, earning 3rd place.
The Masters Tournament, held annually since 1959, is considered the pinnacle of water skiing and wakeboarding, attracting the world’s top athletes. Neilly’s achievement as the only Women’s athlete to reach two finals at this year’s event, along with her podium finish, highlights her continued excellence at the highest level of competition.
