Paige Rini, Canadian National Water Ski Team Member, Shines at World Water Skiers Overall Tour Lacanau Cup by Malibu

Ontario’s Paige Rini shines the esteemed World Water Skiers Overall Tour with a 2nd place in Pro Women Overall. The Lacanau Cup by Malibu, held in Lacanau, France from June 30 to July 2, 2023. Paige, a talented athlete from Ontario, represented Canada as she competed in both the Pro Women Overall and Pro Women Slalom events, showcasing her remarkable skill and determination.

In the Pro Women Slalom event, Paige’s exceptional performance in the preliminary rounds secured her a spot in the finals. With two impressive scores into 10.75m/39off, she displayed her prowess in the slalom course. In the finals, Paige achieved a score of 3.5@11m/38off, securing a commendable 6th place finish.

Paige’s excellence extended to the Pro Women Overall event, where she delivered exceptional performances across multiple disciplines. Qualifying for the finals with scores of 2@10.75m in slalom, 7140pts in trick, and 44.3m in jump, she held a strong 4th position. In the Overall Finals, Paige showcased her versatility and skill, earning scores of 2@10.75m in slalom, 7500pts in trick, and 46.9m in jump. Her exceptional performance secured her the second spot on the podium, just behind Germany’s Giannina Bonnemann.

The World Water Skiers Overall Tour is a highly competitive series that spans the season, bringing together top athletes from around the world.You can find Paige next in Canada at the WWS Calgary Cup hosted at Predator Bay Water Ski Club in Calgary, AB on August 4-6, 2023.
