Pre-Season Information and Expectations

Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada has certain requirements mandated by Federal & Provincial legislation (notably the application of Rowan’s Law in Ontario) and from our sport funding partners that dictate we provide concussion awareness information for our sport participants, as well as having policies and protocols to address concussion safety in our activities.

Ontario, with the implementation of Rowan’s Law, is a leader in the expectations of sport organizations as it relates to concussion awareness and education. Recognizing that head injuries are a significant public health issue, Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada has made the decision to have participants from across Canada meet the same concussion awareness requirements that Ontario residents must meet.

All Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada registered members will need to review the Concussion Awareness Resources found here – https://www.ontario.ca/page/rowans-law-concussion-awareness-resources

Please note that acknowledgement of review of the information will be required during the WSWC online member registration process.
