QUEBEC’S NELLIE ALLARD EARNS TWO MEDALS AT THE JR. MASTERS

Quebec’s Nellie Allard wins silver and bronze at the Jr. Masters Water Ski Tournament. 

This weekend at the Jr. Masters held at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA, Nellie competed in the Jr. Women’s Overall, which consisted of three individual events; Slalom, Trick and Jump. 

The overall competition is a combination of the scores from all three of the individual events. Nellie secured herself a bronze medal in the overall competition with her performances in the slalom, trick and jump events. 

In the trick event Nellie came in 8th place, in the slalom event Nellie came in 5th place and in the jump event Nellie came in 2nd place. This is the second time she has won silver in the Jr. Women’s Jump at the Jr. Masters. 

Canadian teammate Megan Pelkey joined Nellie on the Jump and Overall podium. Megan finished 3rd in the Jump and 1st overall. 

The Jr. Masters brings together the best junior water skiers from around the world. The Masters is considered one of the most prestigious water sports events in the world. Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens is the venue for the Masters. Held every Memorial Day weekend, the lake was built specifically for the Masters competition.
