Congratulations to Neilly Ross, the 2022 WSWC Female Water Ski Athlete of the Year! 

Skiing consistently and strongly throughout the year, Neilly had an exceptional 2022 season earning 11 medals in slalom and trick at major events. 

The 2022 season started off strong with two medals at the 2022 Moomba Masters – a gold in trick and a silver in slalom. She then went on to finish 2nd in trick at the Masters and Botaski ProAm and 3rd in slalom at the Botaski ProAm. In mid-summer, Neilly became the 2022 World Games Trick Champion. At the Canadian Nationals in August, Neilly won both the Elite Trick and Open Trick divisions. Both times she scored over 10,000 points. To cap off a great season, Neilly won three gold medals at the PanAm Championships in Santiago, Chile. She took first place in the U21 Trick, U21 Slalom and Open Trick events. Neilly is also ranked second in the world in Open Women’s Trick.

Whitney McClintock Rini Places 3rd at the Masters Waterski & Wakeboard Tournament

Cambridge, ON native Whitney McClintock placed 3rd at the prestigious Masters Waterski & Wakeboard Tournament held at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia this past weekend.

Whitney scored 1.5@11.25m in the semifinals, overcoming challenging wind conditions to advance to the finals. In the finals, she ran 1.5@10.75m to secure her third-place finish. She shared the podium with her fellow Canadian teammate, Jaimee Bull, who placed second.

The Masters is recognised as one of the most prestigious watersports events in the world, attracting the best water skiers and wakeboarders from around the world. It is held every year and is considered a highlight of the watersports calendar.

Whitney has been a prominent figure in water skiing for over a decade, winning numerous awards and championships throughout her career. Her passion for the sport and her unwavering dedication to improving her skills have earned her a reputation as one of the most talented water skiers in the world.
