Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada is proud to announce Taylor Rawlings as the 2025 WSWC Female Development Show Ski Athlete of the Year.
Taylor entered the 2025 season with no prior show skiing experience, knowing only a rope-between-the-legs swivel trick. Over the course of the summer, she quickly became one of the most improved athletes on her club team, earning the Most Improved Swivel Skier award by season’s end.
Throughout the season, Taylor made rapid progress in her skill development, successfully learning toe turns and wrap presses while also beginning to work on strap doubles. By July, she was skiing in multiple weekly shows and had stepped into leadership responsibilities as an act captain.
In addition to her swivel skiing progression, Taylor contributed across several disciplines within the shows, including conventionals, pyramid, and ballet. Her dedication, work ethic, and positive attitude made a strong impact both on and off the water, while consistently setting an example of what it means to be a supportive teammate.
