Team Canada made an impact at the 2024 IWWF Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate World Championships in Paris, France, with six riders proudly representing the maple leaf on the world stage. The World Championships were held from September 16-22, 2024 at Le Kable in Paris, FR.
Canadian athletes competing included:
- Kelsey Chiappa in Open Women’s Wakeboard
- Riley Dillon in Open Men’s Wakeboard
- Connor Gilbert in Jr. Men’s Wakeboard
- Mickey Henry in Open Men’s Wakeskate
- Jordan Sullivan in Open Men’s Wakeskate
- Dary Znebel in Open Men’s Wakeboard
Each rider advanced through the qualification rounds to the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), where only one competitor from each grouping could secure a spot in the finals.
Jordan Sullivan was the standout for Canada, punching his ticket to the Open Men’s Wakeskate Finals through the LCQ. In the finals, Jordan earned a bronze medal and a spot on the podium!
Team Canada had a solid showing at the World Championships, with every athlete progressing through the qualifiers to the LCQ, and Jordan’s podium finish capping off a successful week in Paris.
