Whitney McClintock Rini Dominates Waterski Pro Tour Stop, Winning the Monaco Slalom Cup

Cambridge, ON’s Whitney McClintock Rini, one of Canada’s top water skiing athletes, has emerged victorious at the highly anticipated Waterski Pro Tour Stop, the Monaco Slalom Cup. This remarkable achievement marks Whitney’s third win of the season and solidifies her position as a force to be reckoned with in the water skiing world.

The Monaco Slalom Cup, a thrilling mid-week, one-day event, unfolded just outside the enchanting city of Monaco at the esteemed Centre International de ski nautique in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France on June 28, 2023. Spectators were treated to an awe-inspiring display of skill and athleticism as water skiers from around the globe competed for glory.

Whitney McClintock Rini showcased her exceptional talent and unwavering determination. In both the preliminary round and the finals, Whitney ran 10.75 meters/39 off. Running 1@10.25m/41off in the prelims and 2@10.25m/41off in the finals to secure the title of champion. 

Joining Whitney on the podium was her fellow Canadian Team Member, Jaimee Bull, who scored 5.5@1075m/39off in both the prelims and the finals to place 2nd. There were 4 Canadian skiers in the top 5 at the event with Paige Rini placing 4th and Neilly Ross placing 5th. 

Whitney McClintock Rini’s remarkable victory at the Monaco Slalom Cup sets the stage for an exhilarating continuation of her season. With her sights set on further triumph, Whitney’s next challenge awaits her at the Lacanau Cup, taking place in Lacanau, France from June 30 to July 1, 2023.
